1. Diseases of primates - etiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs and treatment of major diseases of primates to include: tuberculosis, B-virus, shigella enteritis and selected parasitic diseases.
2. Diseases of rodents - etiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs and treatment of major diseases of rats, mice and guinea pigs with emphasis on the murine viruses.
3. Misc. diseases - major diseases of rabbits, ferrets and aquatic species.
4. Zoonotic diseases - human implications of major zoonoses in laboratory animal medicine, including: rabies, tuberculosis, lymphocytic choriomeningitis, B-virus, Q fever and ringworm.
5. Diagnostics - clinical, gross and microscopic pathology of aforementioned diseases as well as virus and bacteria isolation and identification techniques.
